Poneglyphs are scattered around the world.
They are hard stone texts created 800 years ago.
The characters on them are written in an “ancient script” that almost no one can decipher today.
Now, there are other places where this ancient script is used besides the poneglyphs.
The first is the “Golden City of Shandora.
Two places have been discovered there.
The first is the object left next to the pedestal of the Great Golden Bell Tower as Roger's words.
This was inscribed by Oden Kozuki, who was a crew member of Roger's pirates at the time.
我ここに至り この文を最果てと導く
The second is a random object written in the ruins of Shandora.
The words inscribed on it read.
真意を心に口を閉ざせ
我らは歴史を紡ぐもの
大鐘楼の響きと共に
These words are addressed to Shandia and others who are the keepers of the poneglyphs, and the writer may be the Kozuki clan of 800 years ago.
I can understand how it was written and what it means in these two places, but I do not know the reason for the next place.
What is the place?
That is the ancient writing on the walls of ImpelDown LEVEL3.
It is not mentioned during the chapter, but it is just plainly drawn in the corner of the panel, but it certainly appears to be ancient writing.
Why are the ancient characters used in the poneglyphs left behind by those who were its opponents inscribed inside ImpelDown, which is owned by the World Government?
Maybe...
Perhaps Impel Down was also built by the people of the Moon who landed on the blue planet in prehistoric times.
In other words, the World Government did not build the great undersea prison, Impel Down, by itself, but reused the one that originally existed?
Considering this, it is interesting to note the “wings,” the trademark of the Moon People, on the mark of Impel Down.
Although ImpelDown is now at the bottom of the ocean, it may have once been a huge tower above ground.
The rise in sea level that occurred during the Void Century also caused Impel Down to sink into the sea.
