【ONEPIECE Theory】Predict Luffy's bounty after Egghead arc.

Hi!

This time, I'm going to predict how much Luffy's bounty is going to increase after the Egghead Arc!

A brief review of the person

He is a great adventurer and optimist.

He is a cheerful, free-spirited person, and the word “free-spirited” fits him well (according to the author, his character is modeled after Son Goku of Dragon Ball).

Unlike other pirates, he has no interest in “domination” and loves “freedom” more than anyone else.

He is not bound by position, good or bad, and treats everyone as equals.

From his childhood experience, he knows how great the ocean is and how small he is.

For this reason, he compensates for his shortcomings and greatly values his friends who entertain him at the banquet.

His dedication to his “dream” is sometimes mocked, but most people who meet Luffy in person are impressed by his capacity.

On the other hand, Luffy himself is also a person who can see the capacity of others, and he appreciates Kuro, who is a retired pirate but still wants his fortune, saying that he is no match for Usopp in terms of capacity, and Igalam, who died (or was thought to have died) while serving as a substitute for the princess, saying that he was “admirable.

He sometimes speaks harshly of those who show timidity, such as when he professes his “dislike” for the timid attitude of Coby and Princess Shirahoshi, but this is due to the fact that he himself was a crybaby as a child and was constantly scolded by his older brother Ace, and when he shows courage even when reckless, he acknowledges it and changes his attitude.

This deep-seated honesty easily wins the favor of those who are directly involved with him, and in many cases, those who are not originally his adversaries are drawn to him.

He is also able to easily form cooperative relationships with those who share the same enemy in battle, and is described as having the most fearsome power in the sea in terms of his ability to “win those who are present to his side one after another.

On the other hand, for better or for worse, he is a bit of a hothead, and when he has a misunderstanding or loses his temper, he can get into a fight, even with his own family members.

In fact, in the case of the Merry, Usopp's initial reaction to the theft of the gold was to cheerfully tell Usopp not to worry about it, but when he was rebuffed, he too quickly became agitated, and the two ended up in a fistfight.

He's committing more felonies than I thought.

Incidentally, this film is from the pirate Luffy's point of view, so I don't feel it so much,

  • Attack an international judicial institution, destroy its facilities, and release the detainees.
  • Breaking into an international prison facility and escaping a number of incarcerated felons and death row inmates.
  • Attempts to board an international police agency, destroy its facilities, and free a prisoner on death row (attempted).
  • Overthrow the government of a country that is a member of an international federation.
  • Achieved a total of six national civil disturbance engagements in a period of less than three years.

Even from a meta-viewpoint, he is a criminal.

Although he is a half gag and an enemy pirate ship, he is not always heroic in his actions, such as damaging other people's ships by taking it out on them or firing a cannon inside the ship without hesitation.

It is no wonder that his bounty from the World Government is soaring, and civilians and ordinary pirates who are not directly involved with Luffy's actions regard him as a completely crazy and insane maniac.

Although he often solves national-level crises in his works, he is not aware that he is “saving the country,” but rather that he is “beating up a bad guy who is bothering someone he owes a favor to or likes.

In other words, there are many cases of “I beat up a guy I didn't like, and he happened to be a big villain,” or “I visited a country during my adventure, and there happened to be a conspiracy going on there.

Brains.

He is aware that he “can't do anything by himself,” and when he realizes his mistake when his peers point it out, he immediately apologizes.

In the Arlong Park episode, he even shouted out his feelings.

Since he is not good at thinking and expresses his feelings straightforwardly, there is no depiction of “Luffy thinking in his head,” but rather, “thinking in his head = talking.

For this reason, when Luffy is depicted, there is no monologue.

However, this is sometimes the essence of the story.

Rather than treating everyone equally......, he doesn't seem to have much of an idea of “giving someone special treatment” in the first place, and (with the exception of super-exceptions such as his brothers-in-law) he treats everyone without dividing them, gaining the trust of many people.

However, since he is basically a careless and reckless person, he often does not listen to others' advice, acts without thinking, and causes trouble.

He is not good at lying or hiding things, which is usually revealed by his facial expressions.

Although they make an effort to be discerning and considerate, they are still revealed by their faces and actions.

He is so clumsy that he cannot do housework in general, let alone simple repairs such as hammering a nail into a ship, and even destroys it in the process.

His culinary skills are also so bad that even Luffy himself frowned when he once served his crew a curry that tasted so bad (see “My Whimsical Curry” for more details).

However, although he is often misunderstood, he is not a stupid person.

He is quick-witted, has a great deal of curiosity, and is eager to learn.

In fact, he is only “extremely uninterested in things he is not interested in or in difficult ideas, and he is not good at concentrating on thinking and learning in areas in which he is not good at.

This is especially true in the Davy Backfight and Amazon Lily editions, but when Luffy is forced into a situation where he has to handle everything by himself, he often shows surprisingly clever and precise analytical and decision-making skills.

In a sense, he may appear to be an idiot because he usually has his friends share the brain work with him.

against the enemy.

He never forgives those who hurt his friends and comrades or abuse the innocent, and he shows no mercy at all, even to the highest level of power in the world.

When Luffy is enraged in this way, his power is tremendous, and he is so terrifying that it frightens his opponents.

In group battles in which all members of a group fight together, he often detects the most powerful member of the enemy group and actively challenges him as his opponent.

This is because he has a strong sense of indirectly protecting his comrades, and this philosophy of action is often recognized by the best on the enemy side, such as “I recognize you as an annoying enemy,” “I have the capacity to be a good boss,” and “I don't think of you as a low-ranking person.

Basically, he never kills his opponents, and with few exceptions, such as in the early days, he rarely says “kill” or “die” as a line.

The most they will say is “beat them to death.

According to the SBS, the main purpose is to “break the opponent's pride,” and he has no intention of taking the opponent's life.

Even in his works, he does not pursue an opponent who has been neutralized, and as long as he can take away the opponent's fighting power, he does not engage in further combat.

Unlike Kenshin Himura, however, he is not a man of unkillable spirit, and has even blown up a demon-fruits-powered fighter to the sea (which would almost certainly have killed him if he had not fallen to the land).

In many cases, he has been “lucky not to die” due to the extraordinary vitality and luck of most of his opponents.

In fact, there are countless times when he meets again with someone he beat up in the past, and the response is, “Oh, you're alive,” or “If the worst had happened, you'd be dead.

He has a philosophy that “no villain deserves to be spoken ill of even after death,” and in other words, he may even “forgive with death” his enemies who are unforgivable...?

Gluttony, vitality

Despite his thin appearance, he is one of the most gluttonous eaters in the series.

It is no exaggeration to say that he lives to eat, and it is no exaggeration to say that he eats five meals a day, and he is even willing to eat other people's food if he feels like it.

He is also able to recover his strength by eating, and even demanded food when he was rescued after being killed by Crocodile and after being on the verge of life or death by Magellan's poison.

Action game.

Two years later, he has finally mastered the art of sleeping, eating, and crying at the same time just because he doesn't want to miss out on eating (even two years ago, there are scenes where he eats in his sleep).

He is so greedy that he eats poisonous mushrooms and even poisonous fish when he gets too hungry, he waits for Sanji's meal in the middle of the enemy line risking his life just to eat it, and he has a strange pride that he never spits out what he eats.

On the other hand, he is not a drinker, but he does not seem to like it much.

Although he eats a big meal and his belly may swell up temporarily like a gag comic, he never gets fat because he has a high metabolic capacity to digest food completely with just a little exercise.

However, there seems to be a limit to the amount of food he can eat.

In the battle against Cracker, he had to eat the enemy's cookies as a strategy, but it took more than 11 hours of endurance battle, and Nami's reckless attitude toward Luffy's appetite caused him to half cry, a very rare situation. (It may be because he was always eating biscuits instead of his favorite meat. ......).

His vitality to the extent that he is said to be “immortal” is partly due to the above-mentioned deviant gluttony, but also to his grandfather Monkey D. Garp's child abuse ...... or Spartan education and his childhood survival life on Mount Corvo.

After being poisoned by Magellan's poison at Impel Down, he has developed a tolerance to poison (he survived just in time even after ingesting a large amount of poison from the skin of a giant flying fish, which would kill a normal person instantly if eaten).

On the other hand, there are quite a few depictions that suggest that “Luffy cannot live long,” such as the burden on his heart caused by Gear 2 and the fact that he sacrifices his life span without hesitation when Ivankov saves him.

relations with women

He is not very interested in women, and was not excited when he saw Alvida after her transformation, who captivated all the men around her, or when he saw Boa Hancock, who is said to be the most beautiful woman in the world, naked.

Although he can tell the difference between beauty and ugliness, and he calls the transformed Alvida a “beautiful woman,” for him, “beautiful or not” is merely a classification.

Unusually for a main character in Weekly Shonen Jump, he once got into a serious fight with a woman on his side, not as a gag, but in earnest.

When Mr. 2 disguised himself as Nami and showed his naked body, he and Usopp, who was standing next to him, got excited (Chopper, who said he was not interested in human women, agreed with them).

This is something that can only be seen when Usopp is next to him, and is what is called a bad joke on a school trip.

He also rejected Rola's proposal of marriage, and when he found out that Grandma Kokoro of the Water Seven was a mermaid, he made a blatant disgusted face, Although not as extreme as Sanji, he seems to have a public image of mermaids as beautiful women.

Incidentally, he has become quite popular with women of his own age and older, including the above-mentioned Hancock, and is quite a natural talent.

On the islands he visits, he gets involved with various women, such as Margaret, Princess Shirahoshi, and even Karina, who was a bandit like his fellow navigator.

Strength.

Let's review them separately for basic combat power(and devil fruit), and Haki.

Basic combat power

He is good at utilizing his superhuman physical abilities and fighting techniques to his advantage by utilizing his rubbery fruit abilities.

Luffy is the type of fighter who becomes stronger the more he faces powerful enemies, and has become stronger without realizing it.

He often unknowingly imitates and uses various techniques possessed by others, such as using some of the Six Formulas, using techniques clothed in fire and lightning (electricity), and predicting the future with the color of sight and hearing.

Furthermore, one of the reasons why he tends to grow through actual battles with powerful enemies is that, although Luffy himself is unaware of it, he repeatedly pushes his body, mind, and abilities beyond their limits by fighting powerful enemies, putting moderate strain on them while fighting them as if it were part of his training in order to make himself stronger than before.

In other words, the reason why he has grown so quickly is, of course, due to his high qualities and high chi ability, but it is also related to the fact that he is able to fight in a more balanced way than ordinary strongmen, with less bias, because he is able to fight efficiently in all areas, including body, mind, and abilities, in order to achieve his goals.

Luffy's stretchable rubber body, combined with his own power, allows him to literally “stretch” the reach of his attacks, giving him a longer and wider attack range than that of ordinary firearms.

Furthermore, by utilizing the recoil of the stretched body as it returns to its original position and the bouncing of the body against the ground or a wall, it produces instantaneous force and mobility that is far beyond the capabilities of ordinary people.

By grabbing objects or opponents with his outstretched arms, he can maintain a certain degree of mobility even in the air.

However, these are only feats that Luffy is able to perform.

(In the end, it depends on the ability, spirit, and skill of the person who has the ability (as can be said for all demon fruits).

In addition, there were depictions of Luffy's rubber body stretching unintentionally during training with Ace and Sabo and being pushed around.

The “rubber body” does not sound very strong, but Luffy's flexibility to use this ability and the complex combination of several factors, such as his well-trained strong body, fighting techniques, and Haki, make it an extremely powerful weapon with potential far beyond what we can imagine.

He is sometimes defeated by opponents who are overwhelmingly stronger than he is, such as Crocodile, Katakuri, and Barrett, but to his horror, he is able to challenge them again without taking a break and eventually win in an upset, with his unfathomable vitality and perseverance.

Of course, it is not that he has not rested at all, but it is not enough.

The fact that Luffy is able to grow stronger even though he is supposed to be heavily burdened is also one of his greatest weapons.

Haki

Since two years later, he has also added the three colors of haki, which he has trained to a high level, and has become a skilled fighter who has mastered the art of mind, body, and spirit.

Therefore, it is impossible for him to defeat Luffy in a fight or in a one-on-one battle unless he has the same level of accuracy, overwhelming speed, overwhelming armament haki and conqueror's haki, and basic combat skills that allow him to see the future in time units equal to or even close to Luffy's.

Of the three types of Haiki that he has mastered, Luffy's specialty is conqueror's haki.

He also makes full use of Hear-and-See, in which he has reached the realm of future prediction (futuristic vision) until he can “see a little into the future,” and the highly trained Armament haki, which he uses at will.

He also often applies his own version of Haki.

Its growth has become more pronounced and more powerful during the battle against Kaidou.

As a result, it has become so powerful that it splits the heavens in two and shakes the islands with its enormous high power that reaches the realm of the Yonko class of both.

In the Egghead arc...

Even in the Egghead arc, Luffy has done a lot of fighting.

VS. Rob Lucci

He and Lucci met again after two years.

Both of them had grown up, but Luffy's growth rate was extraordinary, so he was played as a result.

The fact that he is no match for the Yonko has been exposed....

VS. Kizaru

Kizaru came to Egghead on a mission, and he had his first meeting in two years.

Two years ago, he was totally outclassed, but this time he was more than even.

It was a pity that we couldn't completely settle the match.

VS. Jaygarcia Saturn

This old man Saturn was one hell of a son of a bitch.

I think it's been a while since readers got annoyed with him, lol.

But Luffy beat him to a pulp.

But he seems to be immortal, so Luffy couldn't beat him.

VS. Gorosei(Five elders)

What a surprise, Saturn called all the other Five Elders to Egghead!

This was a surprise, the giant pirates came here to support us, too, and the retreat to go to Elbaf began.

And the other GoroSei except Saturn seemed to be immortal, and no matter how much Luffy attacked them, he couldn't defeat them.

Furthermore, when it came to the warcury that was uniting these five old stars, the Gear 3 RedRock and Gear 5 attacks didn't work at all.

Luffy, perhaps realizing that he had no choice but to flee.

Predicting the Bounty

First of all, in this chapter, we are not trying to defeat a powerful enemy.

However, he has caused an unprecedented incident by taking the government's genius scientist, Dr. Vegapunk, hostage and holed up in Egghead, and he has also stopped the Admiral and one of the FiveElders at the same time, Luffy has finally become so powerful that the world government cannot afford to be complacent.

And to top it all off, all of the highest authorities of the world government saw Luffy, who had awakened to the Sun God Nika, with their own eyes.

This means that for them, the threat of 800 years ago has completely returned, and they will have no choice but to raise the bounty.

So that's about the next bounty on Luffy.

The new bounty is 4.5 billion berries!

To be honest, I thought it would surpass Kaidou's 4,611,100,000,000 berries, and maybe even reach 5 billion, but I kept it just barely out of reach yet.

There will probably only be two or three more bounty increase events, so I feel that the end is clearly approaching and I'm going to miss it.

Well, that's all for now.

Thanks for watching!
